Oh lord, this season is just ridiculously AWESOME so far. 2x03 was just so packed full of the ~drama~. Adding Cara to the main cast was the best decision ever, she's probably more interesting than the other three combined. Well, Richard and Zedd anyway. Kahlan is awesome too.

But, duuuude. Kahlan going crazy! Cara returning home! Backstory! Confessions! Sword fights! Richard being all cute! MOTHER CONFESSOR HOOD, HELL YES. Epic group rejoining! Hugs! It was beautiful. My Cara/Kahlan shipping just gets worse every episode, I can't help it. THE LOOKS.

Richard/Kahlan is my epic, magical, tragic OTP but hey, if that doesn't work out...

Would you rent or buy the home of your dreams if a brutal murder had taken place there? What if you got to live there rent-free? Would you think twice if neighbors warned you that it was haunted?

View 980 Answers

Hell yeah! Especially if it were rent free. The murder isn't the house's fault, and when have you ever heard of a murderer returning to kill the new residents of a house he'd previously murdered in? And, dude. Ghosts aren't real. So that wouldn't bother me.

I was suddenly overcome by a wave of emotion when this came on my iTunes. It's like getting punched in the face by nostalgia.

If a friend or relative makes a racist or homophobic remark, do you tend to confront them or let it slide? Are you more likely to confront them if it offends you directly or someone else who seems reluctant to speak up?

View 1570 Answers

Oh, god, yeah, I confront the hell out of them. I'm so known for it now that my friends and family will intentionally say something offensive as a joke just to wind me up. I take it so seriously, I can't help it. This kind of thing has never come up with strangers or casual acquaintances, so I'm not sure what I'd do in that situation. I still like to think that I'd do the right thing and say something to them.

I feel like all I do these days is watch TV and go on Facebook. Got 159k on Facebook Bewjeweled, that's how much of my life I waste on that site, haha

I finally caught up with all my recorded Legend of the Seekers. Holy crap, this show just amazes me. Maybe the storytelling isn't groundbreaking, but it's ridiculously beautiful to look at and the production values are way higher than they should be. It looks more like a movie than a Sci-Fi show. I was seriously crying during the season finale when Kahlan had to live out a life with Rahl and was talking about how she never stopped loving Richard, and then when they were reunited at the end <3. This is so not like me, I'm usually not all about the mushy, tragic romantic stuff but, damn. Richard/Kahlan is my OTP of OTPs right now.

Also, Cara is a badass and I love her. I think I just have a thing for the Mord-Sith tbh. The S2 preview videos with her and Triana...um. Yeah. I just can't wait for season 2 in general! And it's starting November 7th, which is awesome for UK people who've just finished season 1!

The Darken Rahl defeat was amazing...since I haven't read the books, I'm really wondering what's going to happen next. I hope this series carries on for a good long while, I think I'll die without all this pretty on my TV. Speaking of the pretty, I found a really gorgeous "Colours of Legend of the Seeker" picspam. I was thinking of doing something like that since the colours, especially in the last few episodes, really stood out for me. Shota's yellow autumnal grove,  the blue night-time scene in the last episode when Rahl and the Mord-Sith show up, when Rahl bursts into green flames at the end, the grey, barren landscape of the future, the red army of Mord-Sith, general green forest-times...gah, so good.

Finished class at 11am this morning and I've just been sitting around the computer lab because I can't be bothered going home. Is that weird? The seats are so comfortable and computers are so good I don't really have any reason to leave haha.

When you get sick, do you prefer to go it alone or be doted upon by a friend, partner, or parent? Do you usually go to work or school or stay home?

When I get sick I get SICK. It's nice to have a parent or grandparent checking in and bringing me stuff, but it's probably best for me to just be left on my own til it goes away.

Who is your oldest friend (i.e., the friend you have known the longest)? How often do you see or talk to each other? Do your close friends tend to stay the same year after year or change over time?

My oldest friend is still my closest friend, probably because I'm terrible at meeting new people and have had the same friends for years. We've known each other for maybe 11 years, since primary school. The two of us were the only people from our primary school class in the same high school class, so we tended to make new friends together then. Now we're at university she has a ton of new friends from her football team and I'm a loner as usual, so I do feel a bit left behind.

Uni started back yesterday, it's so weird being back after not having been since April/May. I've only had a couple of introductory lectures so far, but it seems much the same dullness as first year. I'm so gutted I missed everything at Freshers Week this year, since I was working, but I really needed the money for my trip to New York and all the ridiculously expensive uni books I need to buy. Seriously, what is up with that? Is it really fair to make it absolutely mandatory to buy 4 or 5 textbooks and then charge £40 each for them, as well as other optional ones? And that's only for this semester. Jeeeez. I highly doubt my £87 per month loan is going to cover anything this year.

In better news, Chicago in a week! (The show, not the city.)

And in even better news than that, New York in 8 days! (The city, this time, haha)

Playin' Infinite Undiscovery. Cappelle is one of the dullest RPG leads I've encountered so far. I'm only around 4 hours in, but this really doesn't seem like a 360-level game to me, graphics and gameplay-wise.

Legend of the Seeker! It's pretty much just generic fantasy, but it's epic and hella addictive! And it's so pretty to watch, especially in HD, the New Zealand landscape and cinematography is beautiful. The two leads are ridiculously good looking too, I'm so jealous. I haven't read the books it's based on, but I might look into them once I'm finished with the series.

I'm getting a wee bit excited about going back to uni, if only because the summer is most definitely over now. I'm quite looking forward to getting my (miniscule) loan in and going to buy books and junk.

So I've got my second whole week of work starting tomorrow, minimum wage, yay! I am not enjoying this whole getting up before midday thing, but I really need the money for my trip to NY in October. Speaking of which, I still haven't decided what Broadway shows to go see. My grandfather definitely wants to see South Pacific, which I'm cool with, but I want to see Hair or In the Heights too and I'm not sure he'd be into those. I was totally up for 9 to 5 before I found out that it's closing in September, and West Side Story would be pretty cool too.

I bought five today - gotta say, that's the most new comics I've bought in a while. Half the stuff I read just happened to all come out at once.

B&R #3, 'Tec #856, GL # 45, WW #35 and Runaways #13 spoilers under the cut )

My friends and I had been planning to go for a while, but almost everyone has dropped out since then for various reasons and now it's just the two of us. Whatever, Alton Towers! Oblivion! Nemesis! Air! My love of theme parks and rides that scare the crap out of you really knows no bounds. I really am 12. And the friend I'm going with has never been before, so it'll be fun introducing her to everything. We're staying in Manchester, a place I've only really passed through before, so checking that out will be fun too!

Also, I have a job! Yes, it's pretty pathetic that I'm 19 and have never worked, nor did I get this job on my own merit, but whatever! It counts! I don't really need the money, but it'll be nice to have something extra for going back to school.

What is your least favorite day of the week? And your favorite?

View 525 Answers

I like Wednesdays because that's when my friends and I usually go out. Cheap weekday booze ftw! But the Thursday hangover in class isn't too fun. Fridays just have such a good feeling to them, and Sundays tend to fill me with dread for the coming week.

You know how Runaways wasn't listed in Marvel's October solicits and everyone was all "Chill guys, it's probably just delayed, they wouldn't cancel it so soon into a new creative team." ? Well, it's not in the November ones either. Dammit, Marvel.

This was the last remaining Marvel book on my pull list. Not because it's been any good lately, but because I've been hoping it might return to what it once was. I never stopped loving the characters, and I never will, despite Moore and Ramos running the book into the ground. There's nothing else quite like Runaways in comics, and I'm gonna be hella sad if it's really cancelled.

Come back BKV!
